中国工程院院士，东南大学教授，城市设计研究中心主任。教育部高等学校建筑类教学指导委员会主任、中国建筑学会副理事长、中国城市规划学会副理事长、住建部科技委城市设计专家委员会主任、建筑学研究前沿 (FoAR)主编等。

Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor of Southeast University, director of Urban Design Research Center. Director of the Architectural Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, Vice Chairman of the Architectural Society of China, Vice Chairman of the China Urban Planning Society, Director of the Urban Design Expert Committee of the Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers in Architecture Research (FoAR).
