To further expand academic cooperation and exchanges between the college and world-class universities, a delegation of five from the Department of Urban and Rural Planning of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Shenzhen University visited the University of Stuttgart and the Technical University of Berlin in Germany from June 1st to 7th, 2024. The visit was led by Vice Dean Professor Yang Xiaochun, and the members included Professor Wang Haofeng, Director of the Planning Department Associate Professor Li Yun, Associate Professor Yang Yinan, and Assistant Professor Zhang Li.
From June 1st to 3rd, the delegation had in-depth discussions with Professors Astrid Ley and Rainer Goutri é from the University of Stuttgart and their team on cutting-edge research and teaching cooperation in sustainable urban design, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention. From June 4th to 6th, the delegation focused on discussing international cooperation in sustainable rural planning with Professor Anke Hagemann and his team from the Technical University of Berlin, exploring solutions to promote the development of cooperation between the two institutions through research projects, technical cooperation, and student exchanges.
This visit not only enhanced the exchange and cooperation between our university and two well-known universities in Germany, but also injected new vitality into the development of our related majors. By learning and drawing on the experience of German universities, our institute will continuously improve and innovate in teaching, research, and international cooperation, further promoting discipline construction and internationalization.
