On September 23rd, Academician Li Xinggang was invited to give a keynote speech at the No.1 Lecture Hall of the Huixing Building (Science and Technology Building) of Shenzhen University. The lecture was hosted by Fan Yue, Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Shenzhen University, and was attended by college leaders, teachers, and all freshmen of the 24th grade.

Academician Li Xinggang gave an academic lecture on the theme of "Habitat Architecture", discussing how to respond to the humanistic and artistic aspects of life, living, and context through the engineering and technical aspects of survival, ecology, and environment. The lecture covered rich theories, methods, and practices for the audience.

Academician Li Xinggang gave the title "Habitat Architecture", based on the concept of "scenic geometry" and using "engineering architecture" as the design method, emphasizing the interaction between architecture and the environment and the creation of poetic situations. From a comprehensive perspective of engineering, society, and culture, he reconstructed the environment of survival/ecology and the context of life/living. Based on recent practice, the connotation of habitat architecture and the five basic types of gardens, ruins, site structures, settlements, and mountain houses were shared. From concepts to methods, and then to types and practices, the design concept, methodology, and specific practices based on the "habitat architecture" concept were systematically explained to all listeners. The rich theoretical connotation and vigorous vitality of the architecture discipline were demonstrated to the teachers and students of Shenzhen University and all the architectural colleagues present.
